CACs

Community amenity contributions typically include the provision of amenities, affordable housing and/or financial contributions towards amenities. The agreed-to contribution is obtained by the local government, if the local government decides to adopt the rezoning bylaw.

Squamish’s current CACs are currently at about 10%. Neighbouring communities, such as North Vancouver, have a CAC requirement closer to 15%. As part of my platform, I would like to see the District of Squamish increase it’s CACs to be more in line with neighbouring communities so we can address our increasing infrastructure deficit.
